Youth Marketing & Leadership, Egypt
From 2018-2020 and supported by Oxfam International, Nawaya researched, developed, and delivered training programs for rural youth in Egypt focused on literacy in online media and community-based leadership.
Mapping Terroire Foods, Egypt
From 2018-2019, we consulted through Slow Food International to research and map heritage foods in Egypt.
Inclusive and Collaborative Practices, MENA
From 2017-2018 the Ford Foundation in Egypt supported us to research best practices for inclusivity and collaboration with small-scale farming communities in the Middle East and North Africa.
Geographical Origin Label, Egypt
In 2016 we consulted through UNIDO to assess the potential terroir products to be enhanced in Egypt for a geographical origin label.
Rural Food Enterprise Best Practices, Egypt
In 2016 we consulted through GIZ Egypt to research best practices in rural food production in Egypt and develop complementary explanatory videos.
Urban Gardens in Cairo, Egypt
From 2016-2017, supported by Ricerca e Collaborazione we designed and set up 50 rooftop gardens in urban Cairo and delivered trainings on small scale plant and animal care.
Local Video Engagement, Egypt
From 2018-2020, in partnership with Access Agriculture we have helped co-design models for local engagement of video-based knowledge for small-scale agriculture.
Farmer-to-Farmer Videos, Egypt
Over several years we produced a variety of farmer-to-farmer videos with the support of Access Agriculture on sustainable agriculture and food production.
Baladini Rural Food Enterprise, Egypt
From 2014-2017 we led the development of a business development and training program for rural women in heritage food production. Support for this project came from the Embassy of Finland, the Canada Local Cooperation Fund, and GIZ Egypt.
